This is a multi-day exhibition celebrating subculture in Los Angeles at Mirus Gallery including Chop Em Down’s much anticipated book launch, cultural retrospective and group show with collaborators from the streets to the studio, new video installations, live music & art performances, panel discussions, tattoo demos and more.

About the artist and exhibition:

Chop ‘em Down films is a collective of artists with a shared purpose of encouraging discovery, inspiring those that look at exploration as unattainable, and showcasing the world as it continues to evolve. Whether documenting discrete and private cultures or sociopolitical rifts, they shine light on the scenes and stories that are rarely acknowledged and too often overlooked.

Los Angeles has been the birthplace and backdrop for much of their exploration and success making it a natural place to premier their first book of photography and exclusive curated event experience.

The exhibition will showcase a decade of photographs and videos taken by all members spanning 72 cities and 38 countries.
