SUMMARY:Super Future Group Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nMirus Gallery Denver brings you a new kind of group exhibition examining the intersection of Art and Technology. Launching Friday March 11, SUPER FUTURE, focuses on the hybridization of analog and digital art. Join us for the Opening Reception Friday March 11, 7-10pm\nFeatured Artists: Andrew Kalkov, Dourone, El Tono, I Heart Blob, Jason Ting, Katy Ann Gilmore, Low Bros, Mathias Krissmer, Maxim Brandt, Nox Lumina, Proembrion, Raws, Actualized Visuals, Helio Bray\nOpening Reception: March 11, 7-10pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn display through: April 22, 2022\n“Within a few decades, machine intelligence will surpass human intelligence, leading to The Singularity — technological change so rapid and profound it represents a rupture in the fabric of human history. The implications include the merger of biological and nonbiological intelligence, immortal software-based humans, and ultra-high levels of intelligence that expand outward in the universe at the speed of light.” – Ray Kurzweil\nAs we move through a new paradigm of technological breakthroughs, the digitization of art emerges.  This group exhibition features a hybrid of artworks at the intersection of Art and Technology. With the rise of NFT art over the past year and a longer history of digital artists creating important artwork in the Digital space as well as analog space, we felt it was a good time to share some of this work. Digital/Analog art has started to merge recently mirroring what is happening in the larger world today as people embrace the idea of hybridization. Your everyday life is being merged into a digital world and what some have called the metaverse. It is an important point in time to reflect on this moment and invite the artists who are making waves in this new hybrid world. Super Future not only  embraces digital art, but also the display of digital art through new mediums. Paintings are replaced with projections and screens.  Digital images that live on the computer come to life in the analog space we occupy. \n\n\n\n
