Self-taught artist Florian Eymann was born in 1980 in Auxerre, France. In his oil paintings, Eymann explores dark themes and experiments with form and content, deconstructing and reinterpreting faces, expressions, and the marks of time.
By subverting familiar subjects, Eymann’s work requires imagination on the part of the viewer. Through explosive and abstract touches of paint which partially hide the figure, he illustrates that conventional modes of representation can be transcended.
Eymann now lives and works in Orléans, France.
